March 6th 2023 are you planning on coming to the tennis tournament this year . Beware #SNAFU 👎Make sure you have a phone. I saw an elderly man arrive without a phone and you can't buy a ticket even at the window without a phone.  you have to have the app.  it's really crazy. and YES  they are  charging $10 for the qualifying matches Monday and Tuesday,  although they do give free parking ( only these 2 days) so that's a  nice consolation. But if you think you can find out about this on the website, think again.  I couldn't find it unless they've updated recently. I think it was one of the local newspapers maybe Desert Sun that said their qualifying was free as it has been so many years in the past but now this year they changed it to $10. And you must have a phone and have a little tech knowledge. Which is a shame because there's a lot of elderly people who live near by and they've always counted on these two days every year for free tennis. I saw this elderly man walk away dejected ☹️. I tried to catch him and offer to buy a ticket for him on my phone to help him get in but he had already gotten too far away. C'mon BNP . lots of confused and upset people at the ticket window 👎. C'mon BNP, YOU CAN DO BETTER ... IF YOU WANT TO. On the bright side at least they dropped the idiotic vaccine requirement they had last year . But at the same time the great tennis player Novak Djokovic can't even enter the United States to play here cuz he doesn't have the vaccine (wisely so) .  That's a Biden problem 👎
